Quantity: 28 Gaskets y Media Change-out Services: Turnkey changeadsorption media, including the removal of the spent media from one vessel per event, replacement of the media, partial replacement of the gravel bed, and testing of the spent media to determine non-hazardous or hazardous classification in accordance with State required CAL WET CAM 17 (STLC) and U.S. E.P.A. required RCRA TCLP Metals 8 waste testing - 2 - and disposal profiling at a State approved laboratory, and transportation and disposal of the spent media as nonhazardous waste, or as the case may be, in a RCRA Subtitle - The Vendor shall provide the labor, equipment, expertise, tools, and materials necessary to perform the change-out services. The Vendor shall perform the change-out services in accordance with Applicable Law, the customary practices and degree of skill and care ordinarily exercised by providers of similar services at the general location of the Facility, and, as applicable, the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the System. The removal and replacement services include pumping/sucking spent media out of the vessels and placing into appropriate transportable container(s). The Vendor shall perform a visual inspection of the vessel to check the general condition, and for any leaks or items of concern. The filters shall then be refilled with virgin media, disinfection chemicals (supplied by Owner) will be added, and media beds will be left , after which Vendor personnel will perform the initial backwash and adsorbers will be placed back on-line. Gaskets on the vessel manways shall be removed and replaced. These services will require taking the adsorber out of service for approximately one (1) day. The Vendor shall transport and dispose of the spent media along with other waste (pallets and trash) off-site at a Vendor designated landfill as nonhazardous waste. The spent media must have Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP), Total Threshold Limit Concentration (TTLC), and Soluble Threshold Limit Concentration (STLC) tests done before disposal in order to confirm that it meets the local, state, and federal guidelines. The Vendor shall provide media sampling and testing within 10 days of notice to proceed. Subject to the limitations contained in this Agreement, the Vendor shall be responsible for supplying and installing replacement media as frequently as necessary when the concentration of arsenic in the effluent from the Lead Vessel reaches a value considered by the Owner to be the Maximum Arsenic Limit desired leaving the lead vessel (lead vessel effluent).
