Specifications include, but are not limited to: The blade shall be flat hot rolled finished steel SAI 1020 or equal with a minimum thickness of ¾” and width of 5”. The groove for the carbide inserts shall be milled in the center of the blade edge. Punching shall be 11/16” square holes with counter sink to receive 5/8” diameter plow bolts. Location and spacing of holes shall be AASHO standard punched except one additional bolt hole may be added at the ends of each section to give greater support. Center of holes shall be in line within 1/32” of established centerline. The purpose of this solicitation is to procure competitive pricing for 3 and 4 tungsten carbide tipped snowplowblades for the Department of Transportation. This contract will be for a period of one year with the option oftwo (2) one year extensions. Price increases will not be allowed during the first term of the contract period.Contract period shall be from Date of award through September 30, 2010. This contract is primarily for use bythe Department of Transportation, however, orders may be placed by the Nevada State Purchasing Division orother State agencies, Cities, Counties or political subdivisions should the need arise. For the purpose ofuniformity, award will be made on an " all or none " basis
