The selected safety training provider will be responsible for delivering monthly training sessions in an in-person or hybrid format. Training must be OSHA-compliant and aligned with Cal/OSHA standards, while also being practical, engaging, and relevant to utility-specific work environments. Instruction should be designed with adult learning principles in mind and tailored to the operational realities of each department. Expected training topics may include confined space entry, lockout/tagout procedures, fall protection, trenching and excavation safety, hazard communication, electrical safety, defensive driving, and personal protective equipment (PPE) use, among others. The training must address the seasonal and environmental challenges typical of the Truckee region, such as snow and ice conditions, wildfire smoke, and remote work locations.
