Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. GENERAL: TWO (2) 2024 OR NEWER/UNUSED FORD F-450 W/ OUTFITTING 1.1 The County of San Diego (County) has a purchase & outfitting requirement for two (2) 2024 or newer/unused Ford Super Duty F-450 DRW (F4G) XL 4x2 Reg Cab & Chassis 169 WB, 84 CA trucks per the following specifications. 1.2 The vehicles shall be equipped with all standard equipment whether specifically called for here, except where the item is replaced by optional over standard equipment. 1.3 The vehicle shall be complete with all equipment required and ready for immediate operation to standard functions as listed below. 1.4 The hardware manufacturer and part numbers specified herein shall not be submitted without prior approval from the County. Offeror requesting use of equivalent products must submit “or County approved equivalent” specifications to the County Department of Purchasing and Contracting no less than one (1) business day prior to solicitation close for approval. Where brand name has been specified, if offeror believes an or “equal” is equivalent to the brand name shown, offeror must provide documentation of the “or County approved equivalent” and specify brand name, model number, dimensions and /or capacities. Submitted equivalencies will be evaluated based on their comparison the specified brand name and part number indicated regarding the following: design, function, performance, quality, availability, warranty, and installation requirements. 2. ENCLOSED UTILITY BODY: 2.1 Compartmented KUVcc Utility Body applicable for conventional Cab Chassis DRW, 14 Gauge two-sided A-40 galvanized steel body shell, complete undercoating; Knapaheide Model KC132H2094 (or County approved equivalent) painted oxford white, Ford paint code YZ. 2.2 Reference drawings and dimensions under copy of schematic under item 3. Truck Body Approximate Dimensions. 2.3 KUVcc Body to include the following standard features: 2.3.1 Compartment (A) curb side shall include aluminum mechanics drawer. Reference picture below: 2.3.2 All compartments shall have slam shut vertical doors with automotive rotary style latches and keyed alike. 2.3.3 Compartments shall include adjustable divider shelves and comprised of spangled galvanized steel with hemmed divider slots on 4” centers, and continuous stainless-steel hinges. 2.3.4 Vertical compartments to include at least two (2) adjustable shelves. 2.3.5 Double panel galvanized rear barn doors with rivet less latch and fixed glass windows with guards. 2.3.6 Master locks installed on both sides and grab handles at right rear in cargo area. 2.3.7 Spray-in bedliner on entire bed floor.
