Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Flyer/Promotional Materials for Participant Recruitment 1. The Contractor must develop a flyer and/or other promotional materials to recruit 40 prospective participants with disabilities, ages 18-26, in Los Angeles County. The goal is for a minimum of 20 people to participate in all sessions of the project. 2. Any flyers and/or other promotional materials must include a copy of the LACDMH logo, the Access for All UsCC logo, and the MHSA logo. 3. The flyers and/or other promotional materials including those utilizing social media platforms must be submitted to LACDMH for approval prior to implementation. i. All social media posts must focus on residents of Los Angeles County and include information on where and how to access mental health services. ii. The LACDMH 24/7 Help Line must be included in every social media post (LACDMH 24/7 Help Line 800-854-7771), as well as the 988 Lifeline. iii. Contractor shall be solely liable and responsible for all social media posts. Contractor shall indemnify and hold harmless the County from and against any liabilities and costs arising from, connected with, or related to social media posts as part of this project. 4. The flyers and/or other promotional materials are the property of LACDMH. B. Pre and Post-Test 1. The Contractor must develop a pre- and post-test to be administered to participants to assess perceived changes in their creative self-expression, confidence in using art to cope with life stressors, social connectedness, and readiness to access needed community resources before and after participating in the project. 2. The pre and post-test must utilize a Likert Scale. 3. The pre and post-test must be submitted to LACDMH for pre-approval. 4. The Contractor must submit copies of all completed pre and post-tests to LACDMH. 5. The pre and post-test must include a copy of the LACDMH logo, the Access for All UsCC logo, and the MHSA logo. 6. To ensure the privacy of the participants, the pre and post-tests must be anonymous and free of identifiable information. C. Participant Recruitment 1. The Contractor must recruit a minimum of 40 participants with disabilities, ages 18-26, to participate in the project. This will include individuals who have personal (direct/indirect) experience with mental health conditions (personal, as a family member, as a caregiver, etc.) including experience utilizing public mental health services. 2. Participants must include a diverse representation with regards to disability, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, etc. 3. Participants shall be recruited from all 8 Service Areas throughout Los Angeles County. 4. Participants should be committed to completing the project in its entirety. 5. Participants must each receive a stipend of at least $240 ($40/session) from the Contractor upon completion of the project. Contractor will provide LACDMH with proof that the stipends were provided including receipts signed by the participants. D. Development of Agendas and Schedules for Project 1. Contractor must provide LACDMH agendas and schedules in advance of the six sessions of the project. 2. The activities highlighted in the agendas must be relevant and beneficial to people with disabilities and must include a mental wellbeing component. 3. The agendas, schedules, and any other materials must be submitted to LACDMH for approval prior to implementation. E. Project Logistics 1. The Contractor will facilitate six project sessions and the final event, providing individual participants skills in a specific art form using effective group teaching methods. 2. At least 20 unique participants will complete the six-session series.
