Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Development of Workshop Curriculum: 1. The Consultant will develop a participatory and self-reflective workshop curriculum to engage in stigma reduction efforts, mental health education, and linkage to Latinas who have experienced dating, domestic, and/or sexual violence. The workshops will focus on the following four (4) modules: Module #1 Raising Own Critical Awareness a. Trauma-Informed Self-reflection i. Self-love, Fortitude, Healthy Relationships ii. Trauma, Depression, and the Mind-Body Connection iii. Immigration / Acculturation / Discrimination iv. Gender Roles / Patriarchal Culture v. Cycle of Interpersonal/Domestic Violence vi. Suicide / Suicidal Ideation and Shame / Stigma b. Componentsofleadership i. Traits / Components of a Leader Module #2 Leadership Development a. Trauma-Informed Interpersonal Community Engagement Module #3 Empowering Latinas a. Trauma Reminders / Triggers b. Community Resources Linkage to mental health services and support c. Resilience (individual and community resilience for mental well-being) Module #4 Community Leadership Through Helping Others a. Having community conversations on IPV/DV 2. The workshops must be designed and developed to be delivered in person. a. If public health conditions do not allow for in-person gatherings, the Consultant will be responsible for ensuring that those who want to participate are provided with resources or directed to a safe location (based on local and state health orders) with access to computers, etc., like a local library, senior/resource center, local public school. b. If public health orders require the Consultant to use virtual platforms, such platforms must be easily accessible for Latinas in Los Angeles County (require minimal to no registration, no requirement to download of a smartphone application, available in English and Spanish). c. The Consultant must purchase and mail care packages prior to virtual workshops to at least 15 people per event, which should include headphones. 3. Workshops must use a multi-generation/family focus and include experiential learning opportunities, reflective discussion on gender-based violence, and culturally appropriate resources. 4. The curriculum must be approved by LACDMH prior to being implemented. 5. The workshops must be in English and Spanish appropriate to the target community. The Consultant is responsible for ensuring the cultural and linguistic appropriateness of the workshops and workshop materials. 6. Upon the request of LACDMH, the Consultant must demonstrate that they fulfilled this deliverable by providing supportive documentation (e.g., receipts, contracts, etc.) pertaining to the workshops. 7. Payment is contingent upon completion of Deliverable A activities(aslisted above in A.1 – A.5) and submission of all required paperwork.
