Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Flyer/Promotional Materials 1. The Consultant must develop flyers and/or other promotional materials for the following: a. Cohort member recruitment (minimum 15 Black youth and young adults, ages 16-25) b. Cohort-led presentations (a minimum of 100 unique/unduplicated other Black youth and young adults, in particular middle school students) c. Community celebration event at the end of the project 2. Any flyers and/or other promotional materials must include a copy of the LACDMH logo, the BAH UsCC logo, and the MHSA logo. 3. The flyers and/or other promotional materials, including those utilizing social media platforms, must be submitted to LACDMH for approval prior to implementation. a. All social media posts must include information on where and how to access mental health services. b. The LACDMH 24/7 Help Line must be included in every social media post (LACDMH 24/7 Help Line 800-854-7771). c. Consultant shall be solely liable and responsible for all social media posts. Consultant shall indemnify and hold harmless the County from and against any liabilities and costs arising from, connected with, or related to social media posts as part of this project. 4. The flyers and/or other promotional materials are the property of LACDMH. 5. Upon the request of LACDMH, the Consultant must demonstrate that they fulfilled this deliverable by providing supportive documentation (e.g., receipts, contracts, attestations, etc.). 6. Payment is contingent upon completion of Deliverable activities (as listed above) and submission of all required paperwork. B. Pre and Post-Test 1. The Consultant must develop pre and post-tests to be administered to cohort members, as well as participants of the cohort-led presentations to assess changes in awareness, knowledge, and behaviors. 2. The pre and post-tests must utilize a Likert Scale. 3. The pre and post surveys must measure, at a minimum, the following a. impact on participants’ knowledge about mental illness b. knowledge of mental health signs and symptoms c. awareness of mental health resources available in the community d. knowledge of the impact of drug use in youth and young adults e. knowledge of the need for early intervention and how to seek help f. impact on participants’ drug risk behaviors 4. The pre and post-test must be developed so that the questions are at a 6th-grade reading comprehension level. 5. The pre and post-tests must be submitted to LACDMH for pre-approval. 6. The Consultant must submit copies of all completed pre and post-tests to LACDMH. 7. The pre and post-test must include a copy of the LACDMH logo, the BAH UsCC logo, and the MHSA logo. 8. To ensure the privacy of the participants, the pre and post-tests must be anonymous and free of identifiable information. 9. Upon the request of LACDMH, the Consultant must demonstrate that they fulfilled this deliverable by providing supportive documentation (e.g., receipts, contracts, attestations, etc.). 10.Payment is contingent upon completion of Deliverable activities (as listed above) and submission of all required paperwork.
