Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Flyer/Promotional Materials 1. The Facilitator must develop a flyer and/or other promotional materials to recruit a minimum of 10 AI/AN community members to attend each of the 6 Community Garden classes (a target of at least 60 unique participants in total). 2. Any flyers and/or other promotional materials must include a copy of the LACDMH logo, the AI/AN UsCC logo, and the MHSA logo. 3. The flyers and/or other promotional materials including those utilizing social media platforms must be submitted to LACDMH for approval prior to implementation. i. All social media posts must include information on where and how to access mental health services. ii. The LACDMH 24/7 Help Line must be included in every social media post (LACDMH 24/7 Help Line 800-854-7771), as well as the 988 Lifeline. iii. Facilitator shall be solely liable and responsible for any and all social media posts. Facilitator shall indemnify and hold harmless the County from and against any liabilities and costs arising from, connected with, or related to social media posts as part of this project. 4. The flyers and/or other promotional materials are the property of LACDMH. 5. Any flyers and/or promotional materials should include the statement, “This Project is a Product of the AI/AN UsCC Subcommittee”. 6. Upon the request of LACDMH, the Facilitator must demonstrate that they fulfilled this deliverable by providing supportive documentation (e.g., receipts, contracts, attestations, etc.). 7. Payment is contingent upon completion of Deliverable activities (as listed above) and submission of all required paperwork. B. Pre and Post-Test 1. The Facilitator must develop a pre and post-test to be administered to participants of the classes to gather feedback on their experiences and mental health outcomes. 2. The pre and post-test must utilize a Likert Scale. 3. The pre and post-test must be submitted to LACDMH for pre-approval. 4. The Facilitator must submit copies of all completed pre and post-test to LACDMH. 5. The pre and post-test must include a copy of the LACDMH logo, the AI/AN UsCC logo, and the MHSA logo. 6. To ensure the privacy of the participants, the pre and post-tests must be anonymous and free of identifiable information. 7. Upon the request of LACDMH, the Facilitator must demonstrate that they fulfilled this deliverable by providing supportive documentation (e.g., receipts, contracts, attestations, etc.). 8. Payment is contingent upon completion of Deliverable activities (as listed above) and submission of all required paperwork. C. Development of Schedule and Agendas for Community Garden Classes 1. The Facilitator must conduct six (6) classes in total. Each class should be approximately 3 hours. 2. The Facilitator must develop the agendas and all materials, written at a 6thgrade comprehension level, for the 6 classes. 3. The agendas will include information related to the utilization of traditional foods and medicines (i.e. sage, herbs, sweetgrass, cedar, etc.) and their potential benefits on mental health and traditional forms of healing for the AI/AN community. 4. The agendas must also include information regarding the LACDMH AI/AN UsCC subcommittee and provide information on how participants can engage in this stakeholder process. 5. The Facilitator must provide LACDMH with a schedule of all of the classes in advance. 6. Facilitator must gather input from members of the AI/AN UsCC subcommittee at one of the subcommittee’s monthly meetings, as well as the AI/AN community at large to help determine the focuses for the agendas of the 6 classes. 7. The agendas must be relevant to the AI/AN population. 8. The agendas, schedules, and any other materials must be submitted to LACDMH for approval prior to implementation. All materials belong to LACDMH. 9. Upon the request of LACDMH, the Facilitator must demonstrate that they fulfilled this deliverable by providing supportive documentation (e.g., receipts, contracts, attestations, etc.). 10.Payment is contingent upon completion of Deliverable activities (as listed above) and submission of all required paperwork. D. Recruitment of Participants 1. The Facilitator must recruit a minimum of 10 unique AI/AN community members to attend each of the 6 Community Garden classes (a target of at least 60 unique participants in total). 2. Of those, at least half must be individuals with lived experience. i. This will include individuals who have personal (direct/indirect) experience with mental health conditions (personal, as a family member, as a caregiver, etc.) and will have some experience utilizing public mental health services. 3. Facilitator to develop a participant recruitment application. 4. The participant application should include questions related to needs during the classes (accessibility, equipment, etc.), availability and scheduling, and any challenges or obstacles for participating. 5. The application should also include demographic questions related to age, race, gender identity, tribal affiliation, etc.
