Specifications include, but are not limited to: A Facilitator will be hired to implement the AI/AN Youth Graphic Novel Project. This project aims to promote mental health services, reduce stigma, and increase the capacity of the public mental health system in Los Angeles County, as well as increase community member engagement in the LACDMH stakeholder process. The Facilitator will recruit 15 AI/AN Transition Age Youth (TAY) (aged 16-24) to participate in the Youth Graphic Novel Project. Of those, at least 5 must identify as having lived experience either personally or as a family member/caregiver for someone with mental health conditions and will have some experience utilizing public mental health services. The Youth Graphic Novel Project sessions should include a mental health stigma reduction element, as well as art sessions focused on various art forms including graphic novels and comic book art and writing, drawing, manga, and anime. At the end of the Youth Graphic Novel Project sessions, the youth and Facilitator will host a Community Exhibit to showcase their work. 1. The Facilitator must develop a flyer and/or other promotional materials to recruit 15 youth to participate in the Youth Graphic Novel Project. 2. Any flyers and/or other promotional materials must include a copy of the LACDMH logo, the AI/AN UsCC logo, and the MHSA logo. 3. The flyers and/or other promotional materials including those utilizing social media platforms must be submitted to LACDMH for approval prior to implementation. i. All social media posts must include information on where and how to access mental health services. ii. The LACDMH 24/7 Help Line must be included in every social media post (LACDMH 24/7 Help Line 800-854-7771), as well as the 988 Lifeline. iii. Facilitator shall be solely liable and responsible for any and all social media posts. Facilitator shall indemnify and hold harmless the County from and against any liabilities and costs arising from, connected with, or related to social media posts as part of this project. 4.
