The winter storms of 2022/2023 damaged an existing perched culvert running underneath Prospect Road, which is an approximately 10-foot-wide traffic-rated, multi-use asphalt road. The erosion around the 55-foot long, 4-foot-wide corrugated metal pipe (CMP) triggered a slope failure washing out a 10-foot section of the culvert, culvert headwall, and portions of the creek bank. The scope of work includes replacement of those elements and added defensible measures, such as extending the culvert pipe to its original length, constructing a new headwall/footing, AC road repair above the culvert, and embankment stabilization.
