The Project generally consists of providing necessary labor, equipment and materials to replace the low water crossing on Split Rock Avenue, just north of State Route 62, with a bridge over the San Bernardino County Flood Control Channel. In addition, the contractor will provide sidewalk, curb and gutter, signing and striping, storm drain, and channel improvements as specified in the pecifications and the special provisions, and as directed by the City Engineer.
Relocation of a waterline by the Twentynine Palms Water District will need to be coordinated with the Contractor’s activities. The Contactor shall, in coordination with the Twentynine Palms Water District through the Engineer, allow 15 working days for the relocation activities.
For the Federal training program, the number of trainees or apprentices is 2.
This project is in a freeze-thaw area.
Work within the San Bernardino County Flood Control Channel cannot be performed until the City obtains an Encroachment Permit from the Flood Control District, which is in progress. Prior to obtaining the Encroachment Permit, no work may be performed within the channel.
There will be no Pre-Bid Conference or Site Walk. Work on the Project shall be completed within 200 working days.
