Given that San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) handles multiple transit agencies as part of being the Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Regional Transportation, the need for streamlined contract management is clear. In addition, SANDAG has diverse stakeholders – from mayors of the cities in San Diego County and representatives and advisors from the tribal lands and neighboring counties.

After 3+ years of utilizing Bidnet Direct’s CLM, SANDAG shared its experience of the transition from its old contract management system to Bidnet Direct’s CLM.

The Need for Improvement & Transformation

From 205 employees and 8 staff in contract in 2008 to 401 employees and 22 staff in contracts today, SANDAG needed a centralized system to accommodate all contract staff. With 1,285 active contracts and 50 solicitations in progress, a CLM with bid management is essential for SANDAG.
