Specifications include, but are not limited to: The initial phase of the program (Phase One) will be launched as a six-year pilot and provide approximately 20-25 stations with a minimum of 200 bikes focused in the Rivermarket/Downtown area with a desired Phase Two launch of an additional 100 bikes by late 2019; however the CLR is open to changing fleet size and service area based on consultation with our chosen BSSP. CLR seeks to expand the City of Little Rock Bikeshare System (System) over time. CLR would like the option to continue the System after six years but should not be obligated to do so. While CLR will have a financial investment in initial three years of the System, the equipment, operations, and other System expenses will primarily be funded through sponsorships or other funding sources secured by the BSSP. The City of Little Rock is willing to have its financial contribution to the System be a grant match to purchase some or all of the equipment, or along with sponsorship investment, have our contribution fund the operations and equipment in a lease-to-own model, or have the BSSP retain ownership of the equipment indefinitely.
