1. Prospective contractor shall Construct all construction safety barriers to keep bystanders out of work areas and at a safe distance for the duration of the project. 2. Prospective contractors shall furnish all tools, materials, equipment and labor necessary to complete project. 3. All Work to be done with in (60 days) from time of bid being awarded. 4. Prospective contractors shall take precautions to prevent any unnecessary damage to any part of the building and landscaping. 5. Prospective contractors shall be responsible for the daily clean-up and the removal of all demolition/ construction debris including nails and metals, all disposable materials offsite. 6. Prospective contractors shall work during normal business hours. 7. Prospective contractors shall schedule all work with park officials. 8. Prospective contractor shall provide one (1) year warranty that applies to all work performed. 9. Photographs may be requested by Brian Hite during installation. 10. Prospective contractors shall be responsible for all materials deliveries and protection of materials during construction. 11. Prospective contractors shall be responsible for protection of buildings from elements during the period of construction. Page 8 of 9 12. Prospective contractors shall remove all trim, and batten strips and re-nail any loose existing siding and cornice and replace bad or rotten wood or siding with equivalent thickness plywood. 13. Prospective contractors shall remove window frames in rear office, replace any damaged or rotten wood, frame opening to accommodate window unit, install plywood over framing to match existing thickness. Opening to be trimmed with 5/4”x 4” Cedarmill Smartside trim. 14. Prospective contractors shall remove old gable vents Approx. 3 ea. And install new polyurethane weather resistant louver vent. 15. Prospective contractors shall remove existing soffit and replace any bad or rotten wood and install new LP SmartSide cedar texture soffit material and also replace any bad, damaged soffit vents. 16. Prospective contractors shall apply house wrap before the new siding is installed. 17. Prospective contractor shall cut approximately (1) foot up from bottom and remove metal trim and 2”x 6” and fill in with same thickness as existing siding if applicable. 18. Prospective contractors shall be responsible for the removal and protection of all gutters, downspouts and the reinstallation of gutters, downspouts. 19. Prospective contractor shall remove all old fascia and drip trim and install new 5/4” x same width LP SmartSide Cedar texture fascial boards (Approx. 441’ lin. Ft.) 20. Prospective contractors shall note that a Sub fascia maybe required for new fascia stability and straightness. 21. Prospective contractor shall replace the ¾”x 1 ½” drip edge trim on the fascia with the new LP SmartSide fascia if the roof has shingles not required if it has a metal roof unless it is needed to make the existing roof trim work. 22. Prospective contractor shall install all the Cedarmill style trim with minimum (2 ½ “finish Galvanized fasteners) And siding installed with minimum length 1 ½ “galvanized HD roofing nail. 23. Prospective contractor shall miter cut all windows and door trim. 24. Prospective contractor shall Install the new 8” LP SmartSide siding with (Approx. 3,951 sq. ft.) of Cedarmill style plank lap siding horizontally over existing siding using 5/4”x 4” trim around all doors, windows and on corners and against soffit eves and rake. 25. Prospective contractor shall trim any electrical breaker boxes and HVAC disconnects and power vents with the Cedarmill style 5/4”x4” and any exterior electrical plugs or fixtures shall be mounted on a piece of 5/16” of adequate size SmartSide panel and shall be trimmed with 5/4”x4” trim so the fixtures will set flat with siding butting up to all trim. And all garage doors trim and jambs to be replaced with LP SmartSide siding and trim. 26. Prospective contractor shall make sure that all of the horizontal siding butts up to the 5/4”x4” trim and has no more than a maximum of a ¼ “gap. 27. All butt joints on siding shall have a 6” in. wide and 1” in. overlap Joint flashing or zip system stretch tape.
