Specifications include, but are not limited to: Shuttle Bus Transportation Services for Truman College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago. The City Colleges of Chicago is interested in obtaining the lowest responsive and responsible bids for Shuttle Bus Transportation Services for Truman College, in strict accordance with the specifications and contract documents. See Section 00500 for Bid Submittal Form. Two large school buses, a minimum of 40 passenger seat buses, running a continuous shuttle service Monday thru Friday, beginning at 7:00 a.m. and ending at 11:00 p.m.; Saturdays, beginning at 7:00 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 8:00 a.m. thru 5:00 p.m. Buses are to run continuously with no more than 5-8 minutes at each pick-up and drop-off stop. Monday thru Friday Buses will operate on three (3) overlapping six (6) hour shifts (Shifts are subject to change) (7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.), with two (2) buses per shift: Shift 1 begins at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m. Shift 2 begins at 12:00 p.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m. Shift 3 begins at 5:00 p.m. and ends at 11:00 p.m. There will be an overlap of 1 hour in the shifts. Shifts are arranged so that there is an overlap that would coincide with peak usage times. Saturdays Buses will operate on two (2) overlapping shifts (Shifts are subject to change) (7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.) with two (2) buses per shift: Shift 1 begins at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m. Shift 2 begins at 12:00 p.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. There will be an overlap of 1 hour in the shifts. Shifts are arranged so that there is an overlap that would coincide with peak usage times. Sundays Bus will operate on one (1) shift with one (1) bus (Shifts are subject to change): Shift begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. Buses will not operate on holidays or other days designated by Truman College (i.e. Spring break, Christmas holidays and between semester when classes are not in session) Truman College/City Colleges of Chicago will not be charged when bus service is not required. Respondent will provide hourly rates with fuel charge included.
