Specifications include, but are not limited to: G. The vendor shall clean, repair cracks, leveling irregularities and resurface all of play and surround areas at Courts 1, 2, 13, 14, 15, 16, and Stadium Court at Rebsamen Tennis Center; 1501 Leisure Place, Little Rock, AR.; H. The vendor shall review areas to be repaired with Facility Manager and/or Owner’s Representative.; I. The vendor shall have the name of each material supplier including the specific type and source of each material to be utilized. Any change in material source requires an additional submittal to the Owner or his designated representative for review upon request.; J. The vendor shall utilize Laykold products and materials, such as, Laykold QualiCaulk, Laykold Acrylic Base Coat, Laykold Acrylic Resurfacer and Laykold Advantage. Other products and systems that are “as equal” are acceptable. Such as, California Products Plexipave, Latexite acrylic tennis court coating system, and Novasports tennis court system.; K. The vendor shall have available upon request the name of fabric manufacturer as well as product specifications and recommended installation procedures to the Owner or designated representative for review.; L. The vendor shall flood courts with water to determine location of birdbaths deeper than 1/16" (commonly measured using a nickel) after 1 hour of dry time in sunny 70-degree temperature (the ASBA Standard). Utilize acrylic base coat to fill low areas per manufacturer installation guidelines.; M. The vendor shall match color of the resurfaced courts to existing color(s) of courts in play area and surrounding areas.; N. The vendor shall repaint lines for USTA Tennis and Quick Start.; O. The vendor shall erect and maintain barricades, canopies, guards, lights, and warning signs to the extent required by law and as is prudent for the protection of the public and protection of the work.; P. The vendor shall power wash the entire court surface until all debris is removed.; Q. The vendor shall sand courts with 36 grit sandpaper to remove all existing grit and imperfections in the new surfacing to allow for best adhesion and better surfacing results.; R. The vendor shall clean and route out the cracks. The vendor shall grind cracks flush and fill all the cracks (greater than 1/8”) with filler.; S. The vendor shall provide a liquid herbicide capable of preventing regrowth of weeds in the cracks.; T. The vendor shall identify high areas on the courts and grind them level to surrounding areas. Low areas shall be filled with leveling material and floated level with surrounding areas.; U. The vendor shall smooth cracks in the surface if lipping has occurred or the surface is high. The vendor shall fill cracks with a system approved sealant, leveled, and allowed to harden. The fill shall be a pre-colored single component polyurethane with 500% elongation.
