Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide materials and labor for Property Clearing and Grubbing. The project area is approximately 52 wooded acres located adjacent to the Wastewater Plant at 320 Davidson Dr., Hot Springs, AR. The property must be completely cleared, down to bare soil, of all vegetation, debris, and other incidentals that will interfere with planned construction. The corners of the area to be cleared will be marked by stakes, and a map identifying the area can be found in the Bid Attachments. 1. Contractor will be responsible for stripping, removing, and disposing of all trees, downed timber, brush, vines, rubbish, stumps, logs, and other incidentals that will interfere with the planned construction. All stumps, roots, and root clusters shall be grubbed out to a depth of at least 6" below topsoil. 2. Burning of cleared and grubbed material on the project site will be permitted, provided the contractor has a proper burn permit. Any debris left in burn piles must be removed down to bare soil. 3. Trees and limbs 6” or less in diameter that are free of any metal and mud may be hauled to the City’s compost site at no charge. 4. After property has been cleared down to bare topsoil, Contractor must seed property with a highway mix seed that will aid in the stabilization of the soil. 5. Trees and other vegetation outside the designated acreage shall remain undisturbed and protected from damage during project. Contractor shall repair and/or compensate for any damages resulting from operations or neglect.
