Prospective contractors shall be responsible for acquiring any permits. 3. Prospective contractor to perform the removal of roof decking around the damage areas so the truss can be reframed with #2 grade lumber and new bolts to match existing trusses. 4. Prospective contractors shall replace all broken and fractured rafters with #2 lumber and match the size of the original with scab overlapping rafter on top of the truss with blocks between the rafters on top of truss. 5. Prospective contractors shall re-square roof where the tree damage moved it. 6. Prospective contractors shall replace all broken lumber and any rotten lumber with new. 7. Prospective contractors shall furnish all materials, tools and labor, equipment to install new drip edge and StormTread synthetic roofing underlayment or equivalent and a (class 3 impact) 60-mph wind architectural shingles on roof Approx. (1’800 sq. ft.) of roof area. And Approx. (88’ lin. Ft. drip edge) 8. The color of shingles shall best match existing (Weatherwood) and other roofs if close to the one that’s being replaced. 9. Prospective contractors shall install a premium starter strip around the eaves and rakes to help prevent wind uplift. 10. Prospective contractors shall nail the shingles with a minimum one inch in length and a minimum of four nails per shingle.
