Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. INSTALLATION: Selected Contractor shall replace current security panels, panic buttons, and door contacts. Fire Sensors are owned by NPC and presently shall not be replaced; only monitored. B. EQUIPMENT: 1. All panels and sensors shall transmit data wirelessly. 2. NPC shall not be responsible for costs related to hardware and/or software malfunction. 3. All costs related to Contractor’s software/hardware compatibility and any future updates shall be the responsibility of Contractor. 4. Contractor responsibilities: Specifies, installs, monitors, repairs and replaces alarm/sensor equipment C. ALARM MONITORING: 1. Selected contractor shall provide twenty-four (24) hour monitoring services (24/7/365). 2. Selected Contractor shall notify appropriate NPC personnel upon activation of an alarm(s), even during times when campus is closed. In the event of an alarm being registered, Contractor shall contact appropriate NPC security personnel and other entities if necessary (e.g. fire department) according to NPC security procedures. 3. Contractor MUST be capable of calling NPC contact personnel when alarm occurs. Failure to comply with this requirement SHALL be grounds for default. Penalties for failing to contact NPC may be accrued. 4. Alarms and sensors to monitor include: fire sensors, security panels, panic buttons, and door contacts. D. ALARM PAD ACCESS CODES: 1. Contractor shall have the ability to assign, change, and disable access codes (Contractor controlled and/or via “Self-Help” website or app) as needed for NPC employees. 2. Multiple NPC employees shall be assigned alarm pad access codes. 3. Alarm pad access codes shall function across campus and not be restricted to a specific building. E. MAINTENANCE, TESTING AND REPAIR: 1. Contractor shall service alarms, panels, sensors, and all other related alarm/sensor/monitoring equipment. (Fire sensors not included.) 2. Alarm Testing: a. Contractor shall be responsible to inspect and test each location annually b. Contractor shall be responsible for testing panic buttons monthly c. Contractor shall NOT test fire alarms d. Contractor shall maintain all test records e. Contractor shall provide copies of said test records to NPC upon testing completion and/or request. f. NPC may request periodic testing on different areas/equipment as needed
