A. SCOPE The project will consist of the following components: 1. Packing and shipping of photographic negatives and prints from the ASA to the Contractor 2. Metadata recorded into Excel file and embedded in TIFF and JPEG 3. Selection of best copy available of each unique photographic negative and print for scanning 4. Conservation work to remove paper, if possible, from photographic negatives and prints to ensure the best image possible 5. Scanning of photographic negatives and prints to FADGI 3-Star specifications, creating preservation-quality TIFF files. 6. Duplication of each preservation TIFF file as a JPEG access file 7. Sleeving and numbering photographic prints in acid-free archival quality sleeves 8. Return shipping of sleeved photographic prints to the ASA 9. Return of TIFF (preservation) and JPEG (access) files to the ASA on Contractor-provided new external hard SSD hard drives 10. Appropriate and legal disposal of photographic negatives after scanning
