Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Custodial & Grounds Maintenance Positions o Minimum of 57,600 Hours Required Between These Positions Annually ▪ Majority of the hours required annually will be for the Custodial Positions o The Custodial Worker is responsible for stripping, waxing, sealing floors, cleaning carpet, general cleaning of areas in and around office buildings, classrooms, lecture halls, conference rooms, auditoriums, building common areas, and other areas on campus as required. This will include vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, dusting, and emptying small office trash cans as well as large trash cans. This position will be responsible for using a carpet extractor and a floor buffer. The Custodial Worker will be responsible for cleaning commodes, sinks, water fountains, etc. Custodial workers may be responsible for prepping dorm rooms for summer camps, laundry, and other duties as assigned. Additionally, Custodial workers may be responsible for repairing and maintaining the following: furniture, windows and doors, plumbing, painting, and carpentry. o The Grounds Maintenance Worker will be responsible for snow/ice removal during winter months. The Grounds Maintenance Worker will be responsible for mowing, weed eating, and trimming campus lawns. Other duties as assigned. Additionally, Grounds Maintenance workers may be responsible for repairing and maintaining the following: windows and doors, fences, and roads. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. • Clerical Positions o Minimum of 6,400 Hours Required Annually o The Clerical Worker will welcome constituents, answer and route incoming calls with respect and courtesy and respond to general inquiries. The clerical worker will also assist with scheduling appointments and replying to departmental emails. The clerical worker may be responsible for operating standard office equipment such as PC, fax, copier, printers, and multi-line phones. Additionally, the Clerical worker may be responsible for working with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
