Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1 The addition is approximately 1,272 square feet and will extend the apparatus room and house new bunk rooms and bathrooms. The interior renovations will require asbestos abatement. The interior scope includes renovating existing spaces to meet ADA guidelines. These spaces include toilet rooms as well as adding a laundry room as well as replacing the finishes. The existing facility will be re-roofed and a new roof shall be installed on the addition. There will also be a new accessible route from the public sidewalk to the entry and accessible parking added. 1.2 Demolition and Asbestos abatement. The abatement and disposal of all asbestos materials shall be carried out in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances, including, but not limited to, compliance with State and Federal asbestos abatement regulations. It shall be the responsibility of Contractor to ensure compliance, including but not limited to, proper testing, permits, inspections, notifications, abatement, and proper disposal of all debris as may be needed or required. The Contractor shall ensure that all debris and solid waste associated with the Work is disposed in a legally permitted solid waste disposal facility. Further, Contractor shall provide the City with a receipt for each dump load of solid waste disposed evidencing disposal of all solid waste associated with demolition in a legally permitted solid waste disposal facility.
