Specifications include, but are not limited to: The SEL program and professional development package must be effective and evidence-based to improve social-emotional learning in children ages birth to five; improve staff skills in supporting and addressing the social-emotional development of children with a wide range of needs and experiences; improve school climate and decrease classroom behavior referrals. The SEL program and professional development package should address prevalent mental health concerns, behavior theory, challenging behaviors, trauma informed practices, conflict resolution and brain development. In additional to the SEL program and professional development package, the Contractor must provide the necessary professional development for all teaching and support staff to implement a structured approach to teaching effective social-emotional skills and creating a positive school climate.
