Specifications include, but are not limited to: a.Contractor shall provide air conditioned Coaches, Shuttle Buses, or 15 Passenger Vans (“Vehicles”) that are properlylicensed, insured, and maintained in a safe, clean and reliable operating condition. Vehicles shall be reasonably freeof visible body defects including but not limited to rust, dents, cracked windows, and interior damage. Contractor shallprovide properly trained and experienced licensed drivers.b.Coaches or full size buses shall have a minimum seating capacity of fifty (50) adult passengers. Coaches shall haveone (1) to two (2) (emergency exits included) for boarding and unloading passengers. Coaches and full size busesshall have handrails overhead and on aisle seats. School type or similar style coaches or full size buses are notallowable.c.Shuttle buses shall have a minimum seating capacity of thirty (30) to thirty-five (35) adult passengers. Shuttle busesshall have one (1) to two (2) (emergency exits included) for boarding and unloading passengers. Shuttle Buses shallhave handrails overhead and on aisle seats. School type or similar style shuttle buses are not allowable.d.Fifteen (15) Passenger Vans shall have a minimum seating capacity of fifteen (15) adult passengers.e.At least one of the scheduled coaches shall be ADA/wheelchair accessible and in operation at all times.i.As an alternative to using the larger coaches, the Contractor may provide an ADA/wheelchair accessibletransport vehicle, van, or coach with wheelchair lifts to board, transport and disembark the disabled.ii.The ADA vehicle shall have a minimum capacity of ten (10) passengers, which can transport eight (8)passengers plus two (2) wheelchairs.iii.The ADA vehicle shall be provided during the same schedule as the other vehicles are in operation.f.Contractor shall ensure all vehicles are equipped with a two-way communication system to enable the drivers tocommunicate with location supervisors, ground personnel, and passengers.g.All vehicles shall meet all requirements of the Interstate Commercial Carrier (ICC), Federal and State Transportationlaws and rules.h.AESF reserves the right to inspect the vehicles and all other equipment or accessories required of the Contractor.Vehicles, equipment, or personnel that are determined to be unacceptable to the AESF shall be replaced withoutcausing a delay in service.i.Contractor shall be required to provide additional vehicles and drivers as needed by the AESF with a minimum of four(4) hours notice.
