Specifications include, but are not limited to: The full reconstruction of Runway 5-23 with electrical upgrades as presented on the plans and specifications. Runway 5-23 currently consist of a 5,564 ft x 150 ft. wide asphalt runway with unpaved shoulders. This project involves the removal of the existing pavement, the regrading of the area, the construction of new runway pavement and paved shoulders/blast pads along the existing alignment, and the application of pavement markings. The electrical portion of the project consists of upgrading Airfield Electrical feeders and equipment. Updated equipment includes: new Runway 5-23 medium intensity runway edge/end lights, new airfield guidance signs, new runway distance remaining signs, and new REILs and PAPIs. Additionally, there will be updates to the Airfield Lighting Vault with new 5kV cable to support the PAPI, AWOS and Windcone circuits.
