The scope of work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, fixtures and services required for a 2.5” asphaltic concrete overlay with an asphalt rubber stress absorbing membrane interlayer (SAMI) on county maintained portions of Old Hwy 89 in Chino Valley area. The project consists of two sections with a combined length of 10,274 feet. The total estimated area to receive the SAMI is 22,686 square yards and the total estimated quantity of fiber reinforced asphaltic concrete with PG 64-22 binder is 3,654 tons. In addition, guardrail end terminals and bridge to guardrail transitions will be added to each corner of the Wash Bridge. The bridge`s existing concrete dado walls will be removed with new concrete bridge transition blocks to be installed. Other associated work includes, but is not limited to: 58 square yards of pavement remove and replace section with geogrid, thickened edge preparation, shoulder build-up and grading, and centerline striping.
