Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent is to enter into a term contract for medical director services for the Mesa Fire and Medical Department (MFMD). The Contractor/Consultant will be expected to provide consultation and direction in all areas of pre-hospital emergency and non-emergency medical services. In general, the Medical Director will be responsible to provide: coordination and cooperation with base station physicians, and other east valley agencies, continuing education, medical oversight for EMS programs, program review, and administrative and legislative assistance. Scheduling, work to be completed, and project completion deadlines will be assigned to each individual project. All required meeting dates and representation at administrative and legislative processes will be scheduled through the EMS Deputy Chief. The Contractor/Consultant will furnish all professional services, labor, equipment, tools and insurance.
