Specifications include, but are not limited to: Vegetation maintenance shall be performed at all contract sites as part of the Detailed Maintenance at the frequencies specified in the Pricing and Compensation pages (Attachment A). All tree and vegetation maintenance shall conform to ANSI A300, the American National Standard for Tree Care Operations-Tree, Shrub and other Woody Plant Maintenance-Standard Practices and be performed in such a manner as to encourage and maintain the healthy growth and vigor of the plant, with a consistent general appearance (shape, size, etc.) unless otherwise instructed by the City. All volunteer vegetation growth shall be removed at each scheduled service. The loss of trees or other vegetation that results from the Contractor’s failure to remove invasive volunteer plants shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to replace. Trees, shrubs, hedges, etc. shall be trimmed and/or pruned in such a manner that they present a pleasing appearance, eliminate sight-distance obstructions/hazards for vehicle operators, do not impede pedestrian pathways and do not interfere with building or site lighting or safety.
