The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to solicit competitive proposals from qualified consulting
firms to conduct an independent audit of the MCCCD job classification system consisting of 260+
jobs and covering approximately 3400 classified staff. The goal is to identify issues and make
recommendations for improving job families, job series, job functions, job leveling, written job
specifications and/or corrections to employee assignments to ensure that classified positions
approved under the new Classification and Compensation Structure implemented in January 2018,
are appropriately classified and aligned to achieve internal and external equity.
