Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. 8.1 The Contractor shall restore all rebuilt cylinders to full OEM functional specifications for the associated equipment. Cylinder inspections and quotes will be done free of charge. b. All standard cylinder rebuild services will be charged at a per cubic inch (in3) fee based on cylinder volume and number of stages, plus the cost of the applicable cylinder seal kit, and other material as needed to meet the below minimum criteria. c. Cylinder rods and barrels shall be inspected for wear, pitting, scoring and/or warpage. d. Rods shall be polished, or free of any defects, either visual or tactile along the section of rod that passes the seals. e. Barrels shall be honed and shall not exceed .015 over original bore size and must be to industry standards when finished. f. All seals and wipers shall be replaced with new product that meet/or exceed the OEM specifications. Each replacement component shall be composed for use with the original equipment hydraulic fluid. Seals are to conform to minimum Buna N temperature range (-40 to +240 F) and material resistance specifications and all other sealing materials must meet or exceed OEM specifications. Seal materials shall be stored in a climate controlled area. g. Cylinders shall be cleaned and painted; paint to match original cylinder color. The required colors shall be specified by the City, but the vendor is responsible for supplying all painting material. HYDRAULIC PUMPS REBUILD - c. Pump will be completely torn down, including a minimum of; removal of all hydraulic fittings, removal of front and rear housings, removal of any gears, shafts, vanes, and hydraulic fluid. d. Inspect all housings and internal components for scoring, pitting, and wear. e. Flush out pump and all internal and external fluid passages. f. Replace any housings, gears, shafts, vanes as needed. g. Remove and replace all seals, o-rings and gaskets.
