Specifications include, but are not limited to: .1 Contractor shall coordinate with AGFD biologists to update and/or develop new habitat suitability models for all Tier 1 and Tier 2 Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN). Approximately 350 SGCN species must be evaluated for modeling. 2.1.2 Contractor shall utilize Random Forests (RF) methods to model habitat suitability where appropriate. If AGFD biologists and the contractor agree on alternative methods, these will be documented and approved by the AWCS Project Coordinator. 2.1.3 Contractor shall utilize environmental layers provided by AGFD and R source code developed for a recent national species modeling project. The R code will need to be modified for this project and as such, the contractor must be proficient in R language. 2.1.4 Contractor shall coordinate with AGFD biologists for review and approval of model outputs. A model is considered final only after validation from AGFD biologists. 2.1.5 Contractor shall supply the hardware, software, and computing necessary to complete the modeling and analyze the model outputs. 2.1.6 Contractor shall ensure that all data provided to the Contractor, including occurrence data and environmental layers, and all derived products including model outputs will be used for the sole purpose of the AWCS modeling project. No use beyond this project is authorized.
