Specifications include, but are not limited to: The vision of the City’s workforce is to make Chandler a world-class city by delivering outstanding public services, creating a unique community and ensuring an exceptional quality of life. Chandler’s Mayor and Council Strategic Policy Goals for new business needs requests are evaluated to ensure strategic alignment with making our City a great place to visit, work, play, and live. The need exists today for a comprehensive fleet management system (FMS), designed and centered to manage and value fleet assets, both equipment and vehicle and that also encompasses fuel management. The expected outcome of this project is to exemplify the strategic goals of being a leader in transparency, maintain fiscal sustainability and continuing a safe and beautiful community. The City desires to transform existing business operations for managing the City’s Fleet assets to a world-class FMS that integrates data, streamlines workflows, meets a diversity of business requirements and more importantly increases safety. A comprehensive FMS is required for service operations, maintenance, fuel management, replacement management, inventory parts tracking and fixed asset management for Fleet Services. The goal is to implement a FMS that provides the City real time data, control, operational functionality, efficiency and time savings by replacing manual processes, current work order system limitations and reduce decentralized data sources. The FMS will meet Fleet Services needs for fleet management activities including, but not limited to: maintenance, operations, fuel, analytics, diagnostics, telematics, inventory parts and asset management to streamline operational workflows and improve overall management of the City-wide fleet, inventory, equipment and fuel costs. This transformation aligns with the City’s desire to use technology to operate efficiently while maintaining the second lowest average residential total cost for municipal services and local taxes in the Valley as well as to provide improved functionality, service, asset management, forecasting, replacement planning and mobility.
