Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The Contractor(s) shall provide as-needed interpreter services for non-English speaking defendants in the Scottsdale City Court, where such service is required by the United States Constitution, the Arizona Constitution, and/or the Rules of Criminal Procedure for the State of Arizona. Interpretation services shall be provided by interpreters who have been trained to provide interpretation services to defendants.2. The City estimates the need for interpreter services to be an average of 400 hours per year, with 25% being Spanish, 10% American Sign Language (ASL), and 65% various other languages during the initial term of this contract. 3. The Contractor shall provide interpreter services for the Scottsdale City Court from Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, on an “As Needed” basis, as determined by the need of the Court and the Contract Administrator. Contractor shall be available to provide services within seven (7) business days of City’s request.4. By submitting an offer in response to this solicitation the Offeror is acknowledging and agreeingthat this Contract to accept court assignments and provide interpreting services to the court is non-exclusive and the Scottsdale City Court may enter into such other, similar contracts with other Contractors. 5. The intent of the City of Scottsdale is to award multiple contracts to ensure adequate services are available for community members, however the City reserves the right to award a single contract if it is advantageous to the City.
