Specifications include, but are not limited to: 5.3.1 Doctor physical exams – Blood pressure test (a second reading is optional and should be recorded if found to be necessary), pulse rate and rhythm, height and weight, finger stick blood test for glucose, and for all other possible physiological disqualifiers not included in the vision, urine dip, and hearing tests. A list of these possible disqualifiers are, but are not limited to: a) Loss of a foot, a leg, a hand, or an arm, and has not been granted a skill performance evaluation certificate pursuant to FMCSA Section §391.49. b) Has impairment of: • A hand or finger which interferes with prehension or power grasping; or • An arm, foot, or leg which interferes with the ability to perform normal tasks associated with operating a CMV; or any other significant limb defect or limitation which interferes with the ability to perform normal tasks associated with operating a CMV; and has not been granted a skill performance evaluation certificate pursuant to FMCSA Section §391.49. 5.3.2 Vision test - Has distant visual acuity of at least 20/40 (Snellen) in each eye without corrective lenses or visual acuity separately corrected to 20/40 (Snellen) or better with corrective lenses, distant binocular acuity of at least 20/40 (Snellen) in both eyes with or without corrective lenses, field of vision of at least 70° in the horizontal Meridian in each eye, and the ability to recognize the colors of traffic signals and devices showing standard red, green, and amber.
