Specifications include, but are not limited to: Pinal County is beginning the development of the Central Arizona Project (CAP) National Recreational Trail. The first segment to be developed will be from the Pinal/Pima County line, north to Park Link Drive, see Exhibit B - Environmental Assessment (EA). This segment is approximately 10.5 miles in length (See Figure 1 in EA). The great majority of the trail will be located on the CAP maintenance road and co-located on other two-track or paved roads. There is the need for construction of .7 miles of new trail (See Figures 2 and 3 in the EA) and the installation of trail signage (fiberglass trail markers) along the entire trail corridor. Pinal County is interested in contracting services for a Project Manager to facilitate the completion of the following tasks: 1. Identify and mark a sustainable trail corridor along the .7 miles of new trail construction. The area in question is relatively flat, with typical Sonoran Desert vegetation. Trail specifics are: a. Trail Bench (full bench) = 36” b. Outslope = 2” – 4” c. Vegetation Clearance, side = 5’, overhead = 10’ d. Rock armoring at appropriate drainage crossings 2. On-site review of proposed alignment with Pinal County staff and changes to alignment based on Pinal County staff feedback. 3. Construction of .7 miles of new trail. This segment will involve relocating some security fencing. Volunteer labor for trail construction is encouraged, but not a requirement. 4. Construction of an additional approximately 100’ section trail adjacent to Missile Base Road. 5. Installation of fiberglass trail markers on the entire 10.5 mile segment. Pinal County anticipates 20 – 30 markers will need to be installed. Markers and decals for such will be provided by Pinal County. 6. Contractor must provide all labor, supplies, materials (except fiberglass markers and decals), equipment and transportation to complete work required. 7. Post construction on-site visit with Pinal County staff.
