Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of the Contract between DCS and the Contractor is to develop a unified model of care, directed by DCS, to implement, manage and provide integrated services for children in foster care enrolled in the Comprehensive Medical and Dental Program (CMDP), approved under A.R.S. § 36-2901 et seq. Individuals covered under this Contract include Title XIX/XXI and non-Title XIX/XXI children in foster care with CRS qualifying conditions (A.R.S. § 36-260 et. seq.) and those determined to have BH needs. Through this Contract, DCS is developing a Medicaid managed care model for children in foster care that leverages the relative strengths and expertise of DCS and the Contractor. DCS is contracted directly with AHCCCS to provide covered services for Medicaid eligible children in foster care and accordingly holds ultimate decision-making authority and accountability for the services and population covered under this Contract. Under this contractual arrangement DCS/CMDP is the AHCCCS health plan. The Contractor being sought through this solicitation will be acting as an extension of DCS/CMDP. Meaning DCS/CMDP has ultimate responsibility in meeting the expectations of the AHCCCS contract while the Contractor will be expected to support and facilitate the operations, management and success pertaining to the delegated functions listed below.
