The Town is looking for a Consultant Team to perform a rewrite of content and format of the existing Unified Development Ordinance (minus the Landscape Ordinance, which is currently underway by a separate consultant) and replace it with a Zoning Code (removing the development standards attributable to Public Works/Engineering) and separating out the language that constitutes the Subdivision Code, creating a separate Subdivision code section. The current UDO was adopted in 2006, with numerous amendments since that time. It is doubtful that the UDO has been updated to meet all the changing case law and state laws since 2006. The current code will not be used as a foundation for this new effort, though most existing residential districts and recent amendments will be included.
