Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall remove gate and one (1) section of fencing on north and south sides of pool to allow equipment access for demolition of pool and decking. The removed fencing on north and south sides are to be saved and reinstalled. Remove decking and leave existing concrete surrounding the decking. Communication with the City Project Manager is essential prior to removing any permanent concrete. Fencing on the east side of pool shall be removed and become access to playground area. Demolition: Pool demolition (bottom of pool - expose dirt and remove rebar in holes at the bottom of pool) Remove: decking at 12 inches below grade of pool side walls, pool equipment, shed (verify with PM) and dispose of properly per city code. Relocate electrical to inside of ramada area (northwest corner). Fill the empty pool to adhere to Pima Association of Governments (PAG) Standard Specifications, Sections 803 and 804 for the landscape areas with the following supplemental instructions: Fill material shall be commercially available landscape borrow/fill per PAG Standard Specification 803-2.01 and placed per 803-3.01. The top 6” of the fill area shall be commercially available topsoil conforming to PAG Standard Specification 804- 2. Compaction tests must be completed and the results provided to the City Project Manager. Provide at install 80t Synthetic Turf (see spec example attached) Disposal of debris and demolished materials: Debris shall become the Contractor’s property and shall be removed from the site. The disposal of hazardous debris, if encountered, shall be done under strict supervision and per the governing regulatory agency’s guidelines. Contractor must provide all records indicating receipt and acceptance of hazardous waste by a landfill facility licensed to accept hazardous waste. Comply with governing EPA – ADEQ notification regulations before starting selective demolition. Comply with hauling and disposal regulations or authorities having jurisdiction. Close out Requirements: Provide the compaction test results to city Project Manager. Pool area clear of all pool debris. All permit inspections verified and complete.
