Specifications include, but are not limited to: Inspections requiring manned entry typically occur during winter months, although this is subject to change. Manned-entry inspections of potable-water mains must include clean-water equipment certification and must be completed in accordance with the City’s clean-water entry protocol, provided within this RFP. Pipe inspections may include first-time inspections, five (5) to seven (7) year cycle inspections, one (1) year warranty inspections, or other inspections as needed. Removed pipe sections are typically not available for measurement, calibration, or destructive testing. Normal modeled working pressure ranges are available for all segments of pipe to be inspected. Limited, historical transient pressure logs and events are available for specific pipes. Record drawings and shop drawings are available for most pipes and can be provided electronically to the awarded vendor(s) for planning purposes. Drawings will not be made available during the RFP process. Reports from previous inspections can be provided electronically to the awarded vendor(s).
