.1. The Department’s Wastewater Treatment Facilities are located in remote areas requiring routine scheduled maintenance and repairs. ADOT requires coordinated contractor support to develop comprehensive schedules and plans to perform routine maintenance and emergency services. 2.2. The prime wastewater treatment for the Department wastewater systems are septic tanks, ranging in size of less than 1,000 to 20,000-gallon capacity. Some of the larger facilities have multiple septic tanks (2 to 3 septic Tanks). Systems require inspections and servicing periodically based on size and usage; typically on an annual or quarterly basis based on the septic tank inspection results. 2.3.
