A. Contractor shall be or employ a current Arizona-licensed Veterinarian engaged in providing animal medical services, to include some or all of the following: consultation, examination, treatment, office and/or on-site visits, surgery, dog and cat surgical sterilization, euthanasia and emergency after hours veterinary care. The Contractor shall maintain the necessary license(s), for the duration of this contract. B. Veterinary Technicians shall be a graduate of a Veterinary Technician program or trade school and/or possess relevant training and knowledge in assisting with animal care. Veterinary Technician shall be an employee of Contractor. C. Veterinary procedures provided under this Contract will require no County staff assistance with veterinary procedures of any kind. D. Procedures performed under this Contract shall be performed at a facility operated by Contractor or in the County’s Shelter medical and surgical room. E. A large number of spay/neuter procedures may be required to be performed in succession if the Contractor is bidding to provide sterilization services. The nature of the work requires the ability to perform surgical sterilizations for long periods of time. F. Contractor providing Routine Care and Surgical Care shall provide the approximate number of hours or approximate number of each procedure or service bid upon. G. All transportation of animals from a Mohave County facility to and from the Contractor’s office/clinic will be the responsibility of the County. If the veterinarian bids to conduct the services at the County facility, travel expenses should be calculated in the cost of services.
