4.1. Installation Vehicle Glass: 4.1.1.The contractor is responsible for the disposal of all damaged glass removed from the vehicle. Glass disposal must be done in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local statues, codes and ordinances. Disposal of damaged glass in Eligible Agencies' trash receptacles is prohibited. 4.1.2.The glass products shall meet the requirements of ANSIZ26 as required by FMVSS 205. 4.1.3.The contractor is responsible for the disposal of all damaged glass removed from the vehicle. Glass disposal must be done in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local statues, codes and ordinances. Disposal of damaged glass in Eligible Agencies' trash receptacles is prohibited. 4.1.4.The Contractor shall replace all mechanical fastened vehicle glass parts according to OEM specifications. 4.1.5.The Contractor shall verify that glass parts, including custom cut parts are marked in compliance with certification requirements. 4.1.6.The Contractor shall install external and internal mirrors that meet or exceed the OEM specifications. 4.1.7.When OEM retention systems are modified, the Contractor shall use the most current retention system unless otherwise specified by the OEM. 4.1.8.The Contractor shall promptly report product failure to manufacturer or supplier when detected. 4.1.9.The Contractor shall ensure to not introduce any chemical agents or utilize any installation practice that could affect the glass retention system adversely. 4.1.10. The Contractor shall use a polyurethane adhesive binding system on the OEM gasket. 4.1.11. The Contractor shall recalibrate Advanced Driver Assistance Safety Systems 4.1.12. The Contractor shall use a compatible polyurethane adhesive on a rubber gasket for air or water leaks and not silicone or butyl. 4.2. Factory Replacement Mirrors: The Contractor may but is not required to offer replacement mirrors for light and heavy duty vehicles/equipment under this contract. This includes interior mirrors and/or exterior mirrors (i.e. side and rear view mirrors). Both OEM and OEM equivalent mirrors may be made available under this contract. 4.3. Non OEM Supported Replacements: The Contractor must have the ability to replace glass that may no longer be supported by the manufacturer at locations throughout the State. The cost of this service will be billed at the cost of the glass along with an all-inclusive hourly rate covering the contractor's cost of traveling to the site, measuring, cutting, tempering, and installing the glass. 4.4. Chip repair: The Contractor must be able to provide chip repair on various vehicle glass. 4.5. Off Road/Heavy Equipment Glass Replacement 4.5.1.If applicable the Contractor may have the ability to replace glass on off road construction or farm equipment. The Contractor may be requested to provide cutting and installation of glass the State has previously purchased from existing State OEM contracts. In the event that the Contractor breaks the glass during cutting or installation and the breakage was due to no fault of the State or defect in the glass, the Contractor will be responsible for replacing that particular piece of glass at no cost to the State. Laminate services will be priced per square foot on pricing sheet. 4.5.2.In the event that the contractor does not have the glass in stock but is available from an OEM dealership, the contractor must purchase the glass from the OEM dealership at the contracted price. 4.5.3.
