30,000 Tree shelters to be purchased to protect seedlings for a reforestation planting project occurring on the Coconino National Forest.
Pre-assembled shelters with three wire staking legs attached to the base which allow 8” of soil penetration for stability. The shelter will be manufactured of solid polymer material with no mesh, and sufficiently rigid to allow the shelter to be pushed into workable soil without the use of driving tools. The tree shelter shall be made of High-UV polymer material to withstand the southwest climate. The shelter shall be conical in shape, approximately 18 inches in height, with the base being approximately 7 inches in diameter and tapering to approximately 4 inches at the open top. The shelter must be stackable for easy transport of large quantities in the field and must be reusable.
