Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Tempe is seeking to establish a list of qualified hotels that are interested in providing temporary shelter to City employees designated as “emergency responders” that include Police, Fire, Solid Waste, Water Utilities, and other key staff members who continue to report to work to perform essential services for the City during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This would create a safe option for those healthy employees who are required to report to work and who wish to avoid potentially impacting a vulnerable family member or guest where they normally reside. The City wishes to establish a list of interested hotels and competitive room rates for employees to choose from. The employee would pay for the hotel stay. In certain circumstances the City might be paying for the stay. The City prefers that the rates be held firm through August of 2020.
