Specifications include, but are not limited to: The service must be provided by Contractors who have demonstrated experience in providing services for disabled individuals at the cognitive and manual levels appropriate to the needed functions of the Pima County Transportation Department. Contractor must provide on-site supervision/training. 4.1 Obligations of Pima County Transportation Department (DOT): 4.1.1 DOT understands that Contractor trainees have disabilities and agree to make reasonable accommodations on a case-by-case basis for their training and successful incorporation into employment. 4.1.2 DOT agree to train the on-site trainer/supervisor in various jobs as needed by the DOT. 4.2 Obligations of the Contractor: 4.2.1 Contractor will provide an on-site trainer/supervisor and trainees; trainees will be under the direct supervision of on-site trainer/supervisor. Trainer/supervisors will be employees of the Contractor and will directly supervise and train trainees according to DOT specifications. Trainer/supervisors will be at no cost to the County and must be covered by Worker Compensation, FICA and Unemployment Insurance through the Contractor. 4.2.2 The on-site trainer/supervisor will be responsible for production, scheduling, quality control and record keeping. It will be the trainer/supervisor’s responsibility to assure that work is completed according to DOT guidelines and time frames. 4.2.3 Contractor must supply work crew with sufficient cognitive and physical skills to perform clerical services for DOT as needed. 4.2.4 Contractor will place a trainee(s) within DOT only after approval. DOT has the right to request the removal of any trainee or trainer/supervisor at any time and without cause by serving the Contractor five (5) days written notice of such intent to dismiss trainee(s) or trainer/supervisor. 4.2.5 County may require Contractor to reassign participants (trainees or trainer/supervisor) because of safety requirements. 4.3 Required Qualifications, Job Duties for the On-Site Trainer/Supervisor: 4.3.1 Contractor certifies that all Trainer/supervisor(s) have the experience, training, and education to understand, perform, train and supervise the work of supported employees and/or trainees with disabilities. Qualifications of the Site Trainer/Supervisor must be the same as those prescribed by the Arizona Department of Behavioral Health for a Behavioral Health Technician.
