A. The cover material shall be in accordance with ADOT standard specification Section 404-2.02 for the following gradation and shall be an aggregate mix of mechanically crushed rock and shall be free from lumps or balls of clay, contain no calcareous or clay coatings, caliche, synthetic materials, decomposed granite, volcanic cinders, organic matter or foreign substances. If a clean cover material cannot be achieved using conventional crushing and screening methods, then the cover material will have to be washed in water. The gradation shall meet the following requirements when tested in accordance with the requirements of Arizona Test Method 201.
