The County currently operates a fleet of street sweeping equipment consisting of Superior Broom DT80J, Superior Broom DT74F, Broce Broom RCT350, Elgin Broom Bear, and Schwartz M6000. Regular maintenance and replacement of broom wafers are necessary to ensure that these units remain in proper working condition and continue to provide effective sweeping services for County roads. Historically, the County has purchased an average of 2,500 individual broom wafers per year. Given the ongoing need for these materials, the County is seeking to establish a reliable and cost-effective source of supply through this Invitation for Bid (IFB). The intent of this solicitation is to secure competitive pricing and consistent availability of broom wafers that meet the specifications outlined herein. By entering into a purchase agreement, the County aims to ensure operational efficiency, extend the service life of its equipment, and maintain clean and safe roadways for the traveling public.
