The Indian Health Service (IHS), Colorado River Service Unit (CRSU), is conducting market research through the Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (ISBEE) program to identify qualified Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises capable of providing medical, biohazardous, and pharmaceutical waste pick-up and disposal services for Parker Indian Hospital in Parker, Arizona.
The anticipated requirement includes the safe, compliant collection, transportation, treatment, and disposal of regulated medical waste (RMW) and hazardous pharmaceutical waste generated during routine healthcare operations. Services may include supplying compliant waste containers; performing scheduled weekly medical waste pickups; providing pharmaceutical waste mail-back disposal; transporting waste to properly permitted treatment and disposal facilities; providing manifests, certificates of destruction, and other required regulatory documentation; and delivering annual DOT and hazardous materials training to CRSU personnel involved in waste handling and internal transport. All services must be performed in compliance with applicable federal, state, tribal, and IHS regulations, including DOT, OSHA, and EPA requirements.
