Specifications include, but are not limited to: Valley Metro’s Operations and Maintenance Center (OMC) maintains an Operations and Control Center (OCC) System for train control, train tracking and rail dispatch processes. Valley Metro requires Software & Hardware Support from B & C Transit for the upgraded Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system currently in place at the OCC. The SCADA system is used to monitor, direct and control all movements of revenue (passenger) vehicles and non-revenue (maintenance, event and supervisory) vehicles involved in LRT service. Software and Hardware Support will allow Valley Metro to maintain existing train control, train tracking and rail dispatch processes to provide better and more reliable service to Valley Metro’s customers.
