The City of Chandler is seeking a consultant to guide the development of a RSAP that will guide the city toward its goal of eliminating roadway fatalities and serious injuries. The plan should be rooted in the Safe System Approach and shaped by Chandler’s multimodal transportation priorities, with an emphasis on reducing risks for the most vulnerable road users. The consultant will be expected to bring technical expertise, sound analysis, and strategic vision to identify where the greatest safety needs exist, how resources can be most effectively deployed, and what actions will produce meaningful, measurable reductions in crashes that result in serious injuries and fatalities. In addition, proposers are asked to recommend potential demonstration activities, short-term projects that can test ideas, showcase safety strategies, and build public support for long-term investments.
